Gut Health

Did you know that your gut is often referred to as your second brain? When something goes wrong in your gut, your brain suffers too. Unfortunately, most people around the world have unhealthy gut systems. In fact, nearly half the global population struggles with digestive discomfort, and one in five has experienced conditions like IBS or long-term gut issues at some point in their lives.

The good news is that all of this can be managed. Your gut is unique, with its own combination of gut flora, different from anyone else’s. My role is to thoroughly analyze what’s been going wrong with your gut health and help repair it—without the need for medications. Through detailed analysis, I can guide you in restoring healthy gut bacteria, strengthening the mucosal lining, and reducing irritation, allowing you to feel better, live longer, and improve your digestion.

My approach covers a variety of gut health disorders, including Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), acid reflux, constipation, diarrhea, bloating, leaky gut syndrome, Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), food intolerances, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) like Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and celiac disease.

Sports Nutrition

Every athlete has unique nutritional needs based on their sport, body composition, training intensity, and goals. Hashika works closely with you to develop a personalized plan that optimizes energy, builds strength, and enhances recovery. Whether you’re aiming to improve endurance, boost muscle mass, or maintain peak performance during competitions, our approach ensures you get the right nutrients at the right time.

Diabetes Care

Many people with diabetes mistakenly believe that cutting out sugar alone will control their condition. What most doctors fail to explain is that diabetes isn’t just about table sugar—sugar is present in all carbohydrates, and you can’t simply eliminate all carbs from your diet. My goal is to correct this misunderstanding by helping my clients understand why they have diabetes in the first place.

By identifying the root cause of the issue, we can work together to gradually reduce the need for insulin or medications. For those on insulin injections, my approach often brings them down to medications, and for those on medications, we work towards lower doses. This progress is made slowly and healthily through lifestyle changes, diet adjustments, and the use of certain foods as medicine. Additionally, I carefully modify workout routines to make them comfortable and effective for each individual.

I work with clients to address all types of diabetes, including Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, gestational diabetes, Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults (LADA), Maturity-Onset Diabetes of the Young (MODY), Type 3c Diabetes (associated with pancreatic disease), Steroid-Induced Diabetes, and Wolfram Syndrome.

Weight Loss

When it comes to weight loss, I see obesity and being overweight not just as a “fat problem,” but as a complex disorder with multiple underlying factors. There’s often something deeper at play—whether it’s overeating without knowing when to stop, consuming too much sodium and experiencing water retention, sudden weight gain due to stress, or underlying conditions like diabetes or heart disorders. Unfortunately, many dietitians overlook these issues.

That’s why I focus on a thorough diagnosis to understand why a person has crossed a healthy BMI. Each individual’s situation is different, and once I have a clear picture, I start by educating my clients about the root cause of their weight issues. From there, we work together to implement tailored dietary and lifestyle changes that address their unique needs.
